MRS. JOHN SAMP
Mrs. Emelia Samp, wife of John Samp, 301 Dawson street and beloved mother of Anastasia, Edward, Irene, Rayfield and Herman Samp died Monday night at her home, a victim of pneumonia. Death followed a week's illness. She was 38 years of age.
Born in Germany, Mrs. Samp came to America as a child of four and had lived in Alpena practically since that time. She and Mr. Samp were married 19 years ago tomorrow, October 23.
Other surviving relatives are her mother, Mrs. Emelia Hett and her sister, Mrs. John Jazdzewski, both of Alpena. The funeral will be held at 9 o'clock Thursday morning, Rev. John Gatzke officiating. Deceased was a member of St. Elizabeth's Society of St. Mary's church.
