Beth Evelyn Baird Ririe, age 81, of Idaho Falls, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2007 at Parkwood Meadows Assisted Living Center.

She was born December 15th, 1926, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Horace Lorenzo Baird and Rebecca Evelyn Peterson Baird. She was raised in Milo and attended school in Rigby. She graduated from Rigby High School in 1945 and attended BYU for two years. She was sealed to Clive Perry Ririe in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on April 21, 1950. They were married for over 50 years. She was a full-time homemaker for many years raising their seven children, and later worked as a medical secretary and as the secretary at the Roberts Elementary School. Family and friends were of greatest importance in her life, and her talent for remembering the significant details of their lives was phenomenal. She loved music and was an accomplished soloist. She shared her musical talents as a member of various church choirs and community choral groups. She served as a music specialist on the ward and stake level in many of the different places they lived. Survivors include four daughters, Lee Anne (Edward) Kinghorn of Laie, Hawaii, Karen (Arn) Kratzer of Hollister, California, Rebecca Joan (Brad) Mickelsen of Idaho Falls, and Verna Beth Ririe of Washington, D.C., two sons, Loren C. Ririe of Novato, California and Dean Baird (Tracy) Ririe of Murray, Utah, one brother H. K. (Karen) Baird of Provo, Utah, 18 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clive, one daughter Glenna Jean Ririe, twin granddaughters, and two sisters, Maxine Murdock and Coral Nelson.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2007 at the Roberts L.D.S. Church at 1:00 pm with Bishop Tim Allen officiating. The family will visit with friends from 11:30 to 12:45 prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
