Oscar R. Headley, 78, of Graysville, R. D. 1, died at 10:45 p.m. Sunday, November 15, 1964, at his residence after a lingering illness.
He was born December 24, 1885, in Richhill Township, a son of the late Newton and Anne Chess Headley.
The early part of his life was spent as a pumper in the oil and gas fields and later, he followed farming.
All of his life was spent in Richhill Township where he was a member of the Long Run Church of God and the Modern Woodmen of America at Graysville.
Surviving are his wife, Urbana Kerr Headley, whom he married February 7, 1907; one son, Gerald, of Wind Ridge; one daughter, Mary, wife of Jack Nelson, Washington, R. D. 6; three grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and one brother, A. P. Headley, of Moundsville, W. Va.
Four sisters and three brothers are deceased.
