John Barrow Died Last Wednesday

John Henry Barrow,62,died last Wednesday at Carl Vinson Veterans Administration Hospital in Dublin.

He was a native of Tattnall County and lived most of his life in Glennville. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War. He was awarded the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star and the Combat Infantry Badge. He was a retired Civil Service employee and a member of Glennville Church of Christ.

Survivors are three daughters, Betty Jean Hunter of Glennville, Vicki Barrow of Reidsville, and Mary Ellen Barrow of Claxton; a son, john N. Barrow of Dublin; a sister, Maybelle Baker of Glennville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. last Saturday at Rimes-Stewart Mortuary, Glennville Chapel, burial was in Beard's Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with full military honors.
