Thomas Henry Yancey, 82, moved to Stephens County near Eliasville in 1879 with his parents. In 1901, he moved to Crystal Falls and operated a blacksmith shop. Thomas Yancey moved to Breckenridge in 1913 and made his home at 311 North Parks. He operated a blacksmith shop at his home until bad health caused him to retire in 1950.

Thomas Yancey had been a member of the Baptist Church since 1893.

Survived by his wife; three sons - Norman, Clyde and Pat Yancey; two daughters - Mrs. Effie Martin and Mrs. Mary King; one step-son - Lee Snow; one step-daughter - Mrs. Willie Hopper; one sister - Mrs. Mollie McMurtry; two brothers - Bill and Dr. John Yancey.
