Some have said they believed her to have died in Birmingham and been buried by her husband in Mt. Zion Cemetery in an unmarked grave. But died between 1900-1910 in Clay County, where she lived in 1900 and where her husband P.B. Ray was living as a widower in 1910. They lived near Poll Bridge, where she likely is buried since many of the graves in the Poll Bridge cemetery have disappeared due to neglect and vandalism and where several relatives of the Pitts were buried.
