Helen was a daughter of John Lott and Louisa Konkle. For some reason Helen did not leave Michigan for Nebraska with her father and step-mother, John and Frances Isabel (Roberts) Lott and younger siblings.

She is buried in a plot in Plainfield (Livingston) Township Cemetery that was owned by her uncle Robert Konkle (Louisa Konkle Lott's brother) with her first cousin, Sophronia P. (Konkle) Brooks [wife of Moses Brooks; daughter of Robert Konkle and Eliza Tuffs; grave #2]. Also buried in the same plot in grave #3 is Amanda Voorthuysen, died March 26,1881; age 46 years 11 months 26 days. Maybe Amanda is the same as Amanda J. Konkle, daughter of Elijiah Konkle and Eliza J. Lamoreaux, neice of Louisa (Konkle) Lott; therefore first cousin of Helen Lott.
