Husband of Ida May Longfellow, married 16 NOV 1890 in Knox County, Ohio. Son of Isaac Armstrong and Sarah E. (Chaney) Forquer.

The Past Week Death Takes Toll Among Well Known County Folks
Sherman Carroll Forquer, son of Isaac A. and Sarah E. Forquer, was born in Scotland County, Mo., Aug. 9, 1866. amd departed from this life at his home near Memphis, Mo., September 4, 1935, aged 69 years and 26 days. On November 16, 1890, he was united in marriage to Ida May Longfellow. To this union were born six children: Leta Irene, who died at the age of eighteen months; Mrs. Vida Bertram of Canton, Missouri, Russell H. Forquer of Kansas City, Mo.; Mrs. Gertrude Gibbs of Rutledge, Missouri; Mrs. Imogene Farwell of Bloomfield, Iowa, and Miss Hazel Forquer f Kansas City, Mo. Six grandchildren, Phyllis and Margaret Bertram, Leo and Bruce Gibbs, Ruth and Barbara Farwell. He leaves to mourn their loss, his devoted wife and five children, one half-brother, Harry R. Forquer of Memphis, Mo., four half sisters, Mrs. Martha Eaton, Newkirk, Okla., Mrs. Dora Hocking, Gorin, Mo., Mrs. nancy Cooper, Mason City, Illinois, and Miss Roberta Forquer, Rutledge, Mo. A number of nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. He was baptized in infancey and lived an honest, upright, Christian life. He was noted for his hospitality and kindness. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America and Masonic lodge of Rutledge. He was a loving husband, a kind father and everyone's friend.
Funeral services were held last Thursday in Rutledge Christian church, conducted by the Rev. A. M. Hadley of Cantril. Interment in Rutledge cemetery. The Masons had charge of the grave.
