Brought Here For Burial
The remains of Mrs. Sarah Moorhouse Oatis was [sic] brought here Wednesday from Imogene, Iowa, and following services at the home of Mrs. Grace Cannon, interment took place in Evergreen cemetery. Rev. J. Paul Hoffman officiated.
Mrs. Oatis was born at Cobery [sic], Canada, May 7, 1832, and passed away at her home in Imogene, Iowa, September 29. She came to this vicinity in 1850 and spent most of her life near here. She was married three times. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Anna Otis and Mrs. Howard Walker, one son, Charles Abbott, a step-son, John Oatis, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
The immediate relatives present at the funeral were Mrs. Anna Oatis, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Walker, Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Robertson and daughter, Miss Helen, and Mrs. Grace Cannon and son, William.
