William Wilson, 75, an Illinois attorney for 54 years, died Friday in Presbyterian hospital. Mr. Wilson of 1303 W. 59th St., LaGrange, was with the firm of Kirkland, Ellis, Hodson, Chaffetz and Masters.
Except for 14 years when he practiced at Pontiac, IL., after his admission to the Illinois bar in 1905, he spent his entire career in Chicago.
In 1955, the Illinois State Bar Association awarded him the title of senior counselor in honor of his 50 years as a lawyer.
Mr. Wilson was a special assistant attorney general for the state in chare of the Illinois toll road acquisition program.
He also was engaged in land acquisition for the Northwest and South expressways.
Survivors include three sons, Charles W., James T. and Robert J.; a daughter Mrs. Barbara Harris, and seven grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel at 40 S. Ashland, LaGrange.
