William Hyde Clark

Death: Oct. 10, 1872

Civil War Union Brevet Brigadier General. Served in the Civil War first as a 1st Lieutenant in the 1st Iowa Volunteer Infantry, then as a Major and Assisstant Adjutant General on the staff of Major General Francis J. Herron, then as the Assisstant Mustering Officer for the Western Division of Pennsylvania. He was brevetted Brigadier General, US Volunteers on March 13, 1865 for "faithful and meritorious services during the war". (bio by: Russ Dodge)
