James Robert J.R. Nasalroad
James Robert J.R. Nasalroad, 63, Harrisonville, died Jan. 4, 2009, at his home.
He was born Jan. 6, 1945, in Kansas City, the son of Shelby and Mary Wilma (Knox) Nasalroad.
April 18, 1964, he married Marilyn Elizabeth Hon.
Mr. Nasalroad was a 1962 graduate of Raymore-Peculiar High School. He moved to Harrisonville in 1966. He worked as an engineer for R&D Tool & Engineering in Lees Summit before retiring in 2007. Mr. Nasalroad was a member of the Antioch Southern Baptist Church. He was the first scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 3 in Harrisonville.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Surviving are his wife, Marilyn, of the home; a son, Michael Nasalroad, San Jose, Calif.; a daughter, Beth Mulvey and her husband, Tony, Harrisonville; a sister, Kay Jean Oldham and her husband, Dean, Peculiar, and two grandchildren, Annie and Drew Mulvey.
Honorary casket bearers were Dean Oldham, Chuck Uhrig, Marvin Keller, David Keller, Paul Keller, Michael Nasalroad, Gene Hon, Ed Hobbs, Ron Limpus, Tony Mulvey and Drew Mulvey.
Posthumous honorary casket bearers were Jon Porter Bremer and O. L. Wayne Collins.
Services were Jan. 8 at the Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville, with the Rev. Tim Redding, officiating.
Contributions may be made to Grace Hospice, American Cancer Society or the First Baptist Church, Peculiar.
Arrangements were under the direction of Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville.
