Lyle was born 29 Mar 1947 at Idaho Falls, Bonneville, Idaho to Dearold James Ferguson and Leatha LaVon Clark Ferguson. The family lived on Star Route near Idaho Falls. He attended Ririe High School and was a Junior class officer last year. He played football for the High School and was active in other sports,and was intrested in automotive mechanics. He played the accordion.
He was a Priest in the Shelton LDS Ward.
Lyle died 24 Sep 1964 at the Hospital in Idaho Falls, Bonneville, Idaho, from injuries sustained in a 14 Sep 1964 tractor accident. He was injured when a tractor he was operating turned over on him while he was working in a field one half mile east and three miles south of the old Buck school. He was pinned underneath for several minutes, he suffered multiple injuries, the most serious of which was a severe head injury.
He is survived by his parents, Dearold James Ferguson and Leatha LaVon Clark Ferguson, three brothers; Kym, Michael, and Mark; two sisters, Judy and Peggy Sue Ferguson all of the family home.
Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs Jesse Ferguson, of Milo, and Charls Elton and Leatha Clark of Ririe, and great grandfather Charles W. Clark of American Falls, Idaho.
Funeral services were held 28 Sep 1964 at the Shelton Ward LDS Chapel with Bishop Melvin Cleverley officiating.
He is buried in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.
