Residence Catawba County NC.
Enlisted on 3/14/1864 at Newton, Catawba County, NC, he was mustered into "C" Co. NC 28th Infantry as a Private; due $50 Bounty.
Admitted 6/8/1864 into Winder hospital, Richmond; died there of disease.

The 28th Infantry Regiment was organized and mustered into Confederate service in September, 1861, at High Point, North Carolina. Its members were from the counties of Surry, Gaston, Catawba, Stanley, Montgomery, Yadkin, Orange, and Cleveland.
