Funeral was Held Monday Afternoon from Residence, Rev. Fred Errington Officiating
Mrs. Catherine Christine Brown, wife of Adam Brown, passed away late Saturday evening at her home, 1609 South Broadway, after a long illness. She was well known to many Brainerd friends, having made her home in Brainerd the past forty years.
She was 70 years of age. She was married to Mr. Brown in Pittsburgh and it is there she has two brothers and several sisters. Surviving her are her husband and ten children, being five sons and five daughters. The sons are Will Brown, Ode Brown, Floyd Brown of Aitkin; George Brown, Arthur Brown of Warroad; and the five daughters are Mrs. Fred Luken, Mrs. Victor Kachelhoffer of Ackley, Iowa, Mrs. George Kirk of Bemidji, Miss Alma Brown and Miss Georgia Brown.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the residence, Rev. Fred Errrington officiating. Mrs. Brown was a devoted member of the First Presbyterian church. Its pastor was out of the city and unable to get to Brainerd in time for the services.
The sympathy of a large circle of friends is extended the bereaved family. ( 24 May 1920, p. 3)
