After attending schools at Irwin, Blowout, Punkin Center, and Fidelity, Elmina lived in Bone from 1931 to 1935. She married Robert Lewis Grant June 17, 1939, in Dillon, MT, and their marriage was later solemnized in Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She was a homemaker and mother. She also cleaned offices and worked several years in the laundry at Westbank Motel. A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and REAC Eagles Lodge, VFW Auxiliary, she also volunteered at hospice. She enjoyed painting, crochet, reading, raising violets, driving cars, hunting, fishing, and family. She made a famous chocolate cake with white icing. Survivors included: children William L. [Susan] Grant of Casper, WY, Carolyn [Robert] Brown, Jeannie [George] McDowell and Brenda [Vern] Hare; brothers Fred [Barbara] Adams and Conroy [Arlene] Adams; sisters Lucetta [Clon] Jacobson of Jackson, WY; Helen [Ernest] Meyer of Iona, Nita [Melvin] Beasley, Rita Pinney of Buffalo, WY, Billie [Merl] Morgan of Emmett, ID, and Renee [Larry] Pietila of Oregon City, OR; and 20 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren; preceded by sons Dennis and Lewis Grant and sister Shirley Longacre. Services held August 17th at 39th Ward chapel in Osgood; Bishop Alan Reed officiated.
