Weldon Lewis Hash of Galena, Kan., died at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, April 20, 2003, at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Mo. He was 67.
Hash was born Aug. 20, 1935, in Scott to Weldon Alex and LueBell (Melott) Hash. He lived in Galena for the past six years, moving from Columbus, Kan., where he had lived since 1979, moving from Kansas City.
He was an auto mechanic and a member of Scott Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons and their wives, Michael and Linda Hash of Louisburg, Kan., Douglas Hash of Richmond, Mo., and Kelly and Lisa Hash of Desloge, Mo.; two brothers and their wives, Lester D. and Marie Hash of Platsburg, Mo., and Dennis and Freda Hash of Commerce, and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami with the Rev. Dewey Johnston and Joe Melott officiating. Burial will be in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami.
Pallbearers will be family members.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
