Dorotha Brown, 93, of Warren, died at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at Heritage Pointe.
Mrs. Brown was born in Jackson Township on April 5, 1918, to Russell E. and Glagie Izetta (Myers) Allen. She married John J. Brown on Dec. 28, 1942; he preceded her in death on July 18, 2001.
Surviving relatives include seven daughters, Liz Benson of Warren, Shirley Schlotter of Montpelier, Judy (Larry) Freeman of Warren, Della Brown of Warren, Georganna (Kenny) Barton of Huntington, Dora Brown of Huntington and Julie Bowman of Huntington; one sister, Christie D. Lake of Fort Wayne; two brothers, Robert L. Allen of Huntington and Jay B. (Joellen) Allen of Huntington; and 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 25 great-great grandchildren and one great-great-great grandchild.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Bill Oswalt, one daughter, Martha Louise Oswalt; two brothers, Dorrell C. Allen and Harry E. Allen; three sisters, Shirley B. Shultz, Sr. Mary Martha Allen, and Betty Vetor; and two grandchildren.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 21, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, July 22, at the Glancy-H. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 203 N. Matilda St., Warren. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, at the funeral home. Burial is at Woodlawn Cemetery in Warren.

Mrs. Brown attended Jefferson Center High School. She had been employed at Miller's Merry Manor, Evergreen Manor and the Unlack Chain, all of Huntington, and retired from the Huntington Nursing Home in 1974. She attended Lancaster Wesleyan Church.
