Best known for his role as Charlie Chan's Number 3 son Tommy Chan and as "The Old One" on the TV series Kung Fu. While eating at a local restaurant with friends in 1943, an agent approached him and asked him if he would like to be in movies. Mr. Fong continued to act for the rest of his life, but found success in 1946, when at the suggestion of good friend Gregory Peck, Mr. Fong opened the first of a chain of Chinese restaurants called Ah Fong.
