Jun. 19, 1885 Farmerville Union Parish Louisiana, USA
William and his father Perry were arrested and tried for murder. They were found guilty and sentenced to hang. Perry's last request was to be buried in their peach orchard. They were hanged and buried as requested in the peach orchard. Their graves can still be seen there today although there are no markings, just a couple of mounds of dirt and iron ore rock showing their last resting place.
