Assunta "Sue" D. Mathis, passed away, Tuesday, July 10, 2012.

Born December 21, 1922, in Astoria, Long Island, NY, she was a daughter of the late Francesco DiFulvio and the late Rosaria DiBenedetto DiFulvio.

Mrs. Mathis was a supervisor in the Georgetown Dress Plant before becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was an active member of St. Mary, Our Lady of Ransom Catholic Church in Georgetown, SC until she moved to Raleigh, NC.

She is survived by her five children; Barbara Mathis of Pawleys Island, SC, Linda Mathis (Jim) Lauro, of Limerick, PA., Rose M. (Louie) Jacobs of Columbia, SC, George R. Mathis III, of Franklin, NC and Assunta M. (Micheal) Rosler of Raleigh, NC.; one sister, Marge LaGuardia of New York; eleven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, George R. Mathis, Jr.

A Funeral Mass will be 9 AM Friday, July 13, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Georgetown, SC. Burial will be in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens immediately following the funeral.

Graham Funeral Home of Georgetown is in charge of the arrangements.
