. . . . . . . . . . Clarice (Jinks) Kyle was born in the Salty community to Lula (Jackson) and Daniel Hadley Jinks. She worked as a school teacher, retiring in 1976 after 23 years teaching in a number of community schools in Lexington and Rockdale. She married Willie Watson (Bill) Kyle on June 23, 1929 in Cameron. She was a Worthy Matron and member of Eastern Star and a member of the advisory board and Mother Advisor for the Rainbow Girls. She was also PTA president, former member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and played in the kitchen band with the senior citizens. Mrs. Kyle died Friday, March 15 at Fairview Nursing Home in Fairfield. She was a Fairfield resident since 1989, formerly of Rockdale. Funeral services were held Sunday, March 17, 1996 at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home Chapel with burial in I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
