Edna Eunice Hardy, 94, of Ririe, died June 24, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Center in Idaho Falls.

She was born April 20, 1916, in Indian Valley, Idaho to William Samuel Colton and Esther Muriel Andrew Colton. She was raised and attended school in Indian Valley, Idaho. On September 27, 1948, she married Joseph LeRoy Hardy in Carson City, Nevada. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls L.D.S. Temple November 24, 1954. She worked for the Payette School District in the athletic department, and in the cafeteria. She also worked at a spud house in Fruitland where she met LeRoy.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Relief Society making quilts for homemaking, and in the library as a Librarian. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing and was a talented painter.

She is survived by her daughters; Leola Niederer, of Rigby, Bonnie (Marion) Blakely, of Ririe, sons; Von (Leatha) Hardy, of Ririe, Jim (Barbara) hardy, of Grand Junction, Colorado, a brother, Warren Colton, of California, 18 grandchildren, multiple great and great-great grandchildren, and 5 great-great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Lauella Briggs, a sister, 3 brothers 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 28, 2010, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street, Rigby. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Monday, prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery, under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
