Hayes: Virginia Anne Edwards, age 84, died October 15, 2009.
Anne was a graduate of Achilles High School, DePaul Nursing School, St. Louis Anesthesia School and a graduate from University of Georgia with a BS Degree. She was a Nurse Anesthetist at Mary Immaculate Hospital, Newport News, VA; Baptist Hospital, Atlanta, GA and was also, Assistant Administrator of Athens General Hospital, Athens, GA. She was a member of Severn Church, Naxera for many years.
Anne was a fabulous baker and her wonderful home-made desserts were a delight to everyone who received them. She will always be remembered for her gentleness and compassion she showed to others.
She was preceded in death by her parents James Preston and Virginia Sterling Edwards.
She is survived by:

Funeral services officiated by Pastor Leonard D. Riley and Pastor Bill West will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment will follow in Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery.
