Death: May 5, 2003

R&B Singer. Johnson was a member of the musical group, 'The Astors.' The group was originally formed in 1960 but Johnson didn't join the group until 1967 when Richard Harris left to persue other opportunities and after the release of there only hit, 'Candy.' Along with his brother, lead singer Curtis Johnson, the band continued only for a short time afterwards before the group disbanded for good after two other members of the group were drafted into the army.
