A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Talmadge and Oberia Buchanan Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Mildred Jones, and two brothers, Harley and Julius Jones. She was a retired employee of the Wellco Corporation. Hettie was a member of Grandview Baptist Church and the Ruth Sunday School Class. She loved to cook and bake for others.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, three sisters,(one twin sister), one brother, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Grandview Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Buchanan Cemetery.
