Edward Hawkins Poulsen, 84, passed away on July 30, 2011 in Ogden, Utah.

He was born September 19, 1926 in Midvale, Utah to Albert and Ione Owen Poulsen. Eddie served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He married Arlene Ence in the Salt Lake Temple on June 7, 1948.

Eddie owned and operated Ajax Insulation Company for many years. He enjoyed playing golf, traveling and spending time with his friends and family. Eddie was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many callings. He and Arlene served in the Portland Oregon Mission.

Survived by his wife, Arlene; daughters, Kerry (Stan) Cullimore; Dea Ann (Don) Staker; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; siblings, Ellen Shell; Ernie (Caroline) Poulsen. Preceded in death by his parents; son, Stephen Edward Poulsen; seven siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 5, 2011 in the Union Fort Fifth Ward Chapel, 6770 South 500 East. Friends may call from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State Street (100 East), and one hour prior to the services at the church.
Interment: Larkin Sunset Gardens.
