PANA, July 23 -- The funeral services of Jacob Galster, well-known resident of Danville (should be Dollville), northeast of Pana, who died Wednesday at his home, will be held at the German Lutheran church at Dollville Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, Rev Karl Muller, the pastor, fficiating. Burial will be in the Knobs cemetery.
Mr Galster was born in Tuscarawas county, Ohio, April 4, 1853, the son of Rev and Mrs Mathias Galster, who were natives of Germany and came to the United States in 1839, settling in Ohio, from where they came to Illinois and locatd in Rural township, northeast of Pana, in 1864. Mr Galster married Miss Elizabeth K Mautz May 6, 1859. Nine children were born of the union, eight of whom survive. Mrs Galster died about eight years ago.
The surviving children are: Mrs Charles Frankenfeld and Mrs L G Barth, both of Rural township, north of Pana; Mrs Gus Eichele of Shelbyville, IL; Mrs R M Bell of Nashville, MI; George, Edward and Jacob Galster of Dollville and William Galster of Pana.
