Obituary:
LORA A. GIESELMANN, 89, of Arlington, died Sat., Jan. 27, 2001; at Arbor Manor in Fremont.
Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wed., Jan. 31, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, north of Arlington. The Rev. Dennis Maaske will officiate. Interment will be at St. Paul's Cemetery.
Visitation is scheduled for 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wed., Tuesday, January 31, and 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington. Visitation will also be held at the church one hour prior to services.
Lora A. Gieselmann was born Jan. 23, 1912, on a farm north of Arlington to Henry & Martha (Knecht) Hokamp. She grew up in rural Arlington.
On Feb. 18, 1934, he married Walter H. Gieselmann at the St. Paul's parsonage. The couple lived on a farm nine miles north and two miles east of Arlington, where they farmed. They moved into Arlington in June o 1983. Mrs. Gieselmann had been living at Arbor Manor in Fremont since October 1995.
Mrs. Gieselmann was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and the Jolly Larks Quilting Circle.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Melvin W. & Lois Gieselmann of Arlington, a daughter, Eileen A. Breithaupt of Blair, two brothers, Albert & Gilbert Hokamp, both of Arlington, two sisters, Meta (Mrs. John) Breithaupt of Fremont and Norma (Mrs. Elmer) Katt of Herman, two sisters-inlaw, Esyher Hokamp of St. Louis, Missouri and Edna Bartling of Fremont, five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; a brother, Martin Hokamp, and a sister, Esther Gieselmann.
Memorials are suggested to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or the ARlington Rescue Squad.
