BROTHER STARLIN PHILLIPS, age 63, of Somerset, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, May 12, 1998 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. He was born in the Delta Community in Wayne County, Kentucky on August 21, 1934, the son of Shird and May Ross Phillips. Both parents preceded him in death.

On July 10, 1954, he married Eleanor Louise Canada Phillips, who survives.

He is also survived by 3 children Steve Phillips of Nancy, Kentucky, Elaine Wilson and Linda Stringer, both of Somerset, Kentucky; 4 grandchildren; 2 brothers Montie and Luied Phillips, both of Somerset, Kentucky; and 1 sister Adele Compton of Somerset, Kentucky.

He was a former Somerset Police Officer and was retired from Ferrell Gas Company. He was a member of the rescue squad, Scenic Beagle Club and Denham Street Baptist Church.

Funeral Services were held Friday, May 15, 1998 at 2 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Dr. James Floyd and Brother J. S. New officiating. Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Wayne County, Kentucky.
