At one time Osborne Cemetery was apparently known as Cemetery One. The following was found on p. 1, Cemetery One, Alford, Mass. Personal genealogical notebook, Mason Public Library, Great Barrington, Massachusetts.
"A more ancient burial place is in the south part of the town on the tract of and originally owned by William Bronson. The oldest inscription to be found on the tombstones read: 'Sarah, daughter of Elezer and Sarah Barrett, born June 7th, 1766 and died in infancy'".
