Steve Atkinson
Birth: Oct. 16, 1948
Death: May 6, 2003

Professional Hockey Player. Born in Toronto, Ontario. He was drafted 6th overall in 1966 following four years with the Flyers that featured two Memorial Cups, one in 1965, the other in 1968. Boston Bruins from 1968 to 1969. He moved on to the Oklahoma City Blazers from 1968 to 1969. Winning the rookie of the year in 1969. From 1970 to 1974 he was with the Buffalo Sabres, Washington Capitals from 1974 to 1975, Richmond Robins from 1974 to 1975, Toronto Toros from 1975 to 1976, Buffalo Norsemen from 1975 to 1976, Eries Blades from 1976 to 1977 and the Brantford Foresters from 1976 to 1978,The positions he played were of centre and right wing. Steve played in seven leagues over the course of his career. He retired from hockey in 1978. He died at the age of 54. (bio by: Shock)
