Military graveside services for Lt. Norman R. Angell, who was fatally injured January 11, 1943, when the bomber he piloted was shot down over Naples, Italy, will be Monday at 11 a. m. in Lincoln Memorial Park.
Lieutenant Angell, born in Portland February 3, 1920, was graduated from Grant High School and attended the University of Oregon three years before entering the army air force in September, 1941.
He was assigned to duty as a B-24 Liberator pilot, based near Cairo, Egypt. His plane was shot down during the first bombing raid over Naples and he died of injuries three days later.
Lieutenant Angell is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Angell of Portland, and a brother, Austin W. Angell, Jr., Berkeley, Cal.
