William Mason was christened the 29th of July 1770 in Welwick to Robert Mason and his wife Mary Duty Mason. He married Sarah Curtis 27 Jan 1802 and they had at least three known children. In the 1834 electoral rolls for Easington Near Patrington he is listed as freeholder of land living at Blackwell Cottage part of the property of Old Garths. Easington town is not to be confused with Easington Near Patrington and its All Saint's Church and Churchyard located at GPS 53.6491088569164 0.114891082048416 in today's postal code HU12 0TS.
