Lillian was born one of the seven children of Lulu and Herrick Neyers. The family moved around following jobs in logging and agriculture. They lived in Oakland and Redding CA, Coosbay OR, Spokane WA, St Maries and Cascade ID.
Vance Huskey married Lillian May Neyers May 25 1935. They lived in Cascade 1935-1940 when he worked in saw mills. They moved to McCall in 1940 where Vance was a millwright. They purchased a store in Yellowpine which they operated 1956-1961. From 1961 through the present they operated a service station, garage and car lot in Cascade with their son Larry.

Her siblings were: Harry O Neyers who died in 1982, and Elora Neyers Maxfield who died in 2004. She also had half-siblings.
