Eddie was on the 1880, 1885, 1910 Census and the 1917 City Directory in Lincoln, Lancaster Co., Nebraska. He is single and living with his parents. His occupation in 1910 is "steelworker - Foundry" and in 1917 "foreman - Lee Arnett Co." His address is 322 S 14th.
30 MAR 1918 he married Edith Pansy (WILMOT) ROBINSON in Moberly, Randolph Co., Missouri.
Eddie and Edith are on the 1920 Census in Moberly, living at 216 Clark. Eddie is "Culvert Supt. - County".
In SEP 1921 Eddie is listed in the Moberly Evening Democrat as a member of the Elks.
My grandmother (Eugenie Elizabeth ROBINSON) told me Mr. McWhinnie "was a short Scotchman. After he and my mother married, they rented a little house and fixed a room for me. He built a bookcase for me. [it was upstairs in the hallway at the farm, and when Grandma died she left it to me.] He was good and kind to my mother and me." Genie named her third son after Mr. McWhinnie.
19 JAN 1922 His wife Edith died in Moberly, and Eddie went back to Nebraska to visit with family for several weeks.
In 1930 he is on the Census in St Louis, Missouri "single" "lodger" living at 5168 Goethe Ave. "Manager - Pipe & Cigar Store"
