James T. Anderson, 89, of Rt.4, Paris, died December 27 in a local hospital.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in Steele & Thomas Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Ronny Aubrey officiating. Burial was in Meadowbrook Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Anderson was born on 16 Feb 1891, son of William Ladell 'Bill' Anderson and Alice Belle Skidmore. He married Beatrice Webster in Minter on July 5, 1913. He was a retired farmer and operator of Anderson Station & Grocery at Broadway.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Eileen Ruth Hyde in 1960.
Surviving are his wife; one brother, Jesse Bain Anderson of Sulphur Springs; three sisters, Mrs. Addie Ladell (Lloyd) McElyea of Paris, Mrs. Evelyn (Samuel S.) Preston of Paris and Mrs. B.W. Webster of Aurora, CO.
Pallbearers were R.C. McElyea, Billy McElyea, James McElyea, F.M. Allen, Charles Anderson, Larry Smallwood and Jackie Smallwood.
