(1913-1976)

Lenna E. Decker, 62, a longtime resident of Van Buren, died at 3 a.m. Friday in Normandy Osteopathic Hospital in St. Louis. She had been ill for 13 months.
Mrs. Decker was born on December 22, 1913 in Houston, Missouri. She was married in 1931 to Henry Chronister. In 1941 she was married to Frank Barfield who died in 1962. On September 25, 1965, she was martried to Frank Decker. Mrs. Decker was a member of the Assembly of God Church of Van Buren.

She is survived by her husband Frank; two sons - Clarence Chronister of Caseyville, Illinois and Joseph Barfield of Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; three daughters - Mrs. Dorthy Brown of Arnold, Missourri, Mrs. Donna Lawson of St. Louis and Mrs. Lavaunda Carlton of Florisaant, Missouri; twp stepsons - Kenneth Decker of St. Charles, Missour and George Barfield of Granite City, Illinois; three stepdaughters - Mrs. Karen Utterback of St. Charles, Missouri, Mrs. Verna Burns of Madison, Illinois and Mrs. Pllly Fillback of Evansville, Indiana; two brothers - Carl House of Van Buren, Missouri and Ernest House of High Ridge, Missouri; two sisters - Mrs. Louisa Womack of Imperial, Missouri and Mamie Pyatt of St. Louis; 17 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Assembly of God Church in Van Buren. The Rev. Ross Marshall will officiate.Burial will be in Van Buren City Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 2 p.m. today at the McSpadden Funeral Home in Van Buren.
