Kelle Diane Chandler Knight, 46, former resident of Tulsa, OK and more recently of Lubbock, Texas was born October 8, 1958 at St. Johns Hospital in Tulsa and passed on July 16, 2005 in Lubbock, Texas where she and her family have lived for the past year.
Kelle lived and attended school in New York City, Stamford, Conn., and Green Bay,
Wisconsin. She graduated from Tulsa Memorial High School in 1976 and attended Oklahoma State University and the University of Tulsa where she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. A life long member of Asbury United Methodist Church and a Member of PEO Chapter CB, she was also active as a participating member of Carnegie Elementary School and Nimitz Middle School PTA boards and a proud Memorial High School football mom. Kelle was a loved and adored wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law and friend. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smiling face and big blue eyes, her sense of humor, dependability, and always taking care of other's needs.
She had an incredible upbeat personality and was always there to listen to other's problems. A devoted and loving wife and mother, her greatest joy was being a mom to her two children of whom she was so proud. A "rock" to her dad, mom, and siblings, she will be missed forever and loved more than the moon, stars and sky above.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Knight; son, Kevin Knight and daughter, Amy Knight of Lubbock, Texas; Parents Don and Pat Chandler of Tulsa; mother and father-in-law Kenneth and Wilma Knight of St. Simons Island, Georgia; brother and sister-in-law, Bret and Roxanne Chandler; sister and brother-in-law, Caron and Robert McCloskey, all of Tulsa; brother and sister-in-law Cory and Kimberly Chandler of Rogersville, MO.;Brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jeff and Terri Knight of Duluth, GA.; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Kathy and Harry Clark of Greenwich, Connecticut; nieces and nephews, Conner and Tyler Chandler; Marci, Mitchell, and Megan McCloskey; Donovan, Jackson, and Beau Chandler; Abigail, Taylor, and Caitlin Clark; and close friend, Ashley Carpenter.
Preceded in death by grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Ben Chandler and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Daniels, all of Tulsa; Uncles Lester Alan Daniels and Dan R. Chandler.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., July 21, 2005 in the chapel at Asbury United Methodist Church. Contributions can be made to The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, Tx., 75265-0309.
