Marvin Moody Emmons, 67, a resident of 111 Lois Lane, Clarksville, Tennessee, died Sunday, September 27, 1992, at St. Thomas Hospital, Nashville, Tennessee. He was the son of the late Sheldon and Nola Walton Emmons. He was retired from the Civil Service. He was a member of Hilldale Baptist Church, Clarksville, a former member of the Fleming County school board, a Kentucky Colonel, a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Clarksville Bass Club and a navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors incude: his wife, Velva Eubanks Emmons, Clarksville; a son, James Marvin Emmons, Maysville, Kentucky; three daughters, Judy Link, Dover, Tennessee, Janet Merryman, Clarksville, and Jerri Sims, Cynthiana, Kentucky; three sisters, Juanita Bramel, Maysville, Kentucky, Catherine Barkley, Dayton, Ohio, and Joan King, Herlong, California; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at Price Brothers Funeral Chapel. Masonic services were held Tuesday at McReynolds-Nave and Larson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Harley Johnson and the Rev. Scott Brigg officiating. Burial was at Elizaville Cemetery, Elizaville, Kentucky, with full military honors.
