Palms, Calif., went to meet the Lord
on May 17, 2011. She died peacefully
at her residence.
She was born March 16, 1918 in
Creston, Ohio to Charles & Delilah
Shankland. She married her high school
sweetheart Lloyd Beal Oct. 18, 1941.
After Lloyd reutrned from servie to his
country during WWII, they made their
home in Canton, Ohio. Several years later
their daughter Diana entered their lives.
Years later, Zetta's mother Delilah joined
the family.
In 1967, Lloyd's job necessitted a family
move to Santa Ana, Calif.
Zetta, Lloyd & Diana attended Garden Grove
Church of God for several years before
making Crystal Cathedral their Church home.
Zetta's commitment to her Lord continued
at Crystal Cathedral. She served tirelessly
in a number of various areas at the Church.
She and Lloyd enjoyed gtraveling & visiting
with family ande friends for many years
before Lloyd's death in 1985.
In 1988, a new "love of her life", Lisa
arrived at LAX airport, when her daughter
introduced her to her new grandaughter after
arriving from India. Zella then enjoyed
establishing many memories traveling with her
and Diana to many locations around the United
States. Just spending time with Lisa was a joy
for her.
Zetta was preceded in death by her husband,
parents, sister Orpha, brothers; Steve,
Lloyd, and Roy.
She is survived by daughter Diana & grandaughter
Lisa of Yucca Valley Calif; neice Pat Kaufman
of Sun City, grandneices Kim Kaufman, Chris
Austin & husband Mark and their sons Justin
and Andrew of Glendale Ariz.
She is also survived by her only remaining sibling,
Clayton Shankland & wife Merle of Sun City, Ariz.
and their two children, Dennis and Karen.
There are also many other neices, nephews,
grandneices, grandnephews and cousins all
over the country.
She will be laid to rest beside her husband Lloyd
at Fairhaven Memorial Park in Santa Ana, Calif.
