Mrs. Violet Mae Lowe Kennedy, age 89 of Oneida, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, April 28, 2013 at the LaFollette Medical Center. Born February 19, 1924, she was the daughter of Joe and Celia Goad Lowe. Violet was saved at an early age and was a member of the Tunnel Hill United Baptist Church.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband: Richmond Kennedy; Sons: Ralph David and Ray Dean Kennedy; Granddaughter: Jerrianda Lynn Kennedy; Brothers: Leo, Archie and infant Otis Marion Lowe; Sisters: Artie Lowe Gibson; Father and Mother-in-law: Virgil and Rebecca Kennedy.

She is survived by her Daughter: Charlene Hughett and husband Woodrow of Helenwood; Son: Randy and wife, Tammy of Oneida; 10 Grandchildren; 19 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great Great Grandchild; Brother: Cleavous Lowe of Oneida; and Daughters-in-law: Myrtle Kennedy of Huntsville and Regina Kennedy of Helenwood. She, also, leaves behind many nieces, nephews, other family and friends, and especially her church family whom she loved dearly.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 from 6:00 PM until time of funeral services at 8:00 PM in the Chapel of the Four Oaks Funeral Home in Oneida with Bro. Billy Lowe and Troy Burchfield officiating. Music will be provided by the Tunnel Hill United Baptist Church Choir.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Smoky Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her Grandsons.
