"Mrs Sarah C Anderson, 82 years old died at the home of her daughter, Mrs Van Thompson on February 17th a victim of paralysis. She had been sick for only about eleven days.
Mrs Anderson had been a resident of Harmony and Jackson's Mills for the last 61 years and leaves many friends who will mourn her loss. She was an ardent church worker all of her life.
The funeral service was held at her late home Saturday at 1 o'clock and from the Pleasant Grover Methodist Church an hour later. Mrs Anderson had been a member of that church for more than 50 years. Clergymen assisting at the service were Rev George A Whiteman, Rev Robert L Blackman and Rev Mr Hugh.
Burial was made by Undertaker Charles H T Clayton, of Adelphia.
Eight children survive Mrs Anderson. They are William H and George Anderson of Lakewood and Elias Anderson of Toms River. Mrs Sara Havens, of Oakland, California, Mrs George White, of Neptune, Mrs Charles Storer, of Hightstown, Mrs Harriet Burdge, of Sea Girt and Mrs Van Thompson of Harmony with whom Mrs Anderson had made her home for the last seven years".
