BLAKE, EMILY CATE - age 54 of the Dumplin Community in New Market (TN) passed away Friday, August 2, 2002 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center Knoxville following a brief illness. She was a member of the Dumplin Baptist Church and was a retired secretary for the College of Eduation at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Preceded in death by father, Burl Cate. Survived by husband, Harold D. Blake; son, Stephen Blake; daughter, Kari Blake; grandson, Austin Blake; mother, Agnes Koontz Cate; sisters, Berlyn Faye Cate, Mrs. Don (Dianne) Gass and Mrs. Stan (Sandra) Massengill; nephew, Adam Gass and niece, Michelle Cate all of New Market.
