"Services for Fern King Scheduled for Monday"
Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park Chapel for Fern H. King, of 2318 D Street, who died Friday at a Bakersfield hospital.
A native of Oregon, Mrs. King lived many years in Arizona until the death of her husband, Chalmers J. King, superintendent of an experimental U.S. Agricultural Station in Arizona. After her husband's death, she moved to Bakersfield in 1945.
Mrs. King was a member of Chapter I.W. of P.E.O., past matron of the Eastern Star, member of Bakersfield Woman's Club. First Presbyterian Church and the Bible Study Fellowship.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. W.B. Camp, Jr., and four grandsons, all of Greenwich, Conn.
Services will be conducted by the Rev. Owen Onsum of Union Congregational Church of Shafter and the Rev. Glenn D. Puder of the Bakersfield First Presbyterian Church.
Private interment will follow at Forest Lawn.
Honorary pallbearers will be W.B. Camp Sr., D.M. Camp, George Wise, Chester Thompson, Hugh S. Jewett, Harold L. Pomeroy, Lawrence Weill, Frank Norton, Dr. Maynard Brandsma and Mert L. Wiedmann.
The family suggests memorial donation to Union Congregational Church of Shafter.

Mrs. King was born in Baker, Ore. and had resided in Bakersfield 25 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, and she was associated with I.W. of P.E.O., Eastern Star, and Woman's Club.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Anita Camp, of Greenwood, Conn. Memorials may be made to Union Congregational Church of Shafter.
