May also have served as company bugler. Discharged by General Order No. 83 on June 11, 1865 at Cumberland, Maryland. Name also spelled Rumnell and Kimmel.
Filed for a pension on July 3, 1882, application number 453,797. Wife Catherine M. Rimmel filed for a widow's pension on November 8, 1892, application number 486,115. A contest widow, Sarah A. Rimmel also is listed as applying for a widow's pension on September 6, 1890, application number 587,158. Date of death also listed as April 7, 1890.
