My great great grandmother first married Samuel Meredith Jr in 1847.He died of pneumonia during military training in Texas during the Civil War. She then remarried John B. Smith in 1865. Her father was Aaron Carr (1800- ) and her mother is strongly believed to be Elizabeth Faulk, daughter of James Faulk and Sarah Needham. It is not Elizabeth Brazeal, Aaron's second wife. He married here in 1851 and she could not have been the wife of his children in the 1820s/30s as some have reported in various genealogical forums and Ancestry trees.
