She was the wife of Carl W. "Peanut" Dayhoff, who she married Oct. 15, 1965.
She was employed for 30 years as a bookkeeper for M.A. Oland & Son Jr. Landscaping. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 191, Mount Airy.
For relaxation she enjoyed spending time at their place in Deep Creek Lake and trips to Charles Town, W.Va., to play the slots.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are son Charles Howard Crabb and wife Lisa, of Libertytown; a granddaughter, Danielle Crabb, of Hagerstown; a grandson Christopher Crabb, of Libertytown; and a cousin, Martha Lou Bennethum, of Pennsylvania.
She was predeceased by a brother, Ralph Richard Howard.
A funeral service was held at the Stauffer funeral home, with the Rev. Wallace Lusk officiating. Interment was in Taylorsville Methodist Cemetery.
