Hall of Fame Professional Football Player. He played for the Chicago Bears from 1932 to 1936, Philadelphia Eagles from 1937 to 1939, and Phil-Pitt in 1942. He was the first to be named All-NFL two teams in 1933, 1934, and 1936 with the Chicago Bears, and in 1937 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He chose to play without a helmet until stricter rules were enforced. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1971.
