Funeral service for Rosella Millet will be 10 a.m., Tues., July 26, at Verdigris First Baptist Church with Rev. Gerald Biswell officiating. Rosella died Thurs., July 21, 2011, at St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa, at the age of 69. The daughter of John Henry and Myrtle (Rogers) Hicks was born Nov. 11, 1941, in Kentucky. Rosella married Dan Poynter, and they made their home in Louisville, KY. They had one son, Greg. Rosella later married Ronald Millet, and they made their home in Lexington, KY. They had two children, Rhonda and James. Rosella enjoyed cooking, fishing, golfing, sewing, and painting. She moved to Claremore in 2006, and attended Verdigris First Baptist Church. Rosella is survived by her children: Greg Poynter and wife, Kimberly of Owasso, Rhonda Millet and Ronald Dance of Tulsa, and James "Jay" Millet and wife, Kim of Claremore; brothers: Perry Hicks of Heddingberg, Indiana; Carl Hicks and wife, Alene of Kentucky; grandchildren: Aimee Esau and husband, Chris, Ashley Poynter, Michael Poynter, Braelyn Dance, and Cayla Millet.
